We sell individual cuts, as well as quarters and halves. Our cows are raised using sustainable agriculture practices, moving to fresh pasture each day during the growing season, and feeding on hay made on our farm int he winter. We do not supplement with any grain, nor do we purchase outside animals for beef, preferring to raise our own calves here on the farm. We used no hormones or antibiotics and are part of the NY environmental protection and conservation programs. The farm consists of 450 acres, which is ample pasture and hay ground for our needs. We do not have a farm stand, but sell beef from the farm if contacted ahead of time. We also participate in farmers market at Empire State Plaza (summer and winter), Cambridge (summer), and Hoosick Vally/Schaghticoke (summer). We do not sell wholesale, but do offer quarters and halves for anyone interested, and may be able to supply restaurants on a limited basis. This is our first year at the Farmers Market in Menands. Our farm is also home to North Country Daylillies and we welcome visitors on the weekends from July 3rd to August 14th from 10AM to 4PM. However, we will not be selling daylillies at the market. We have been raising registered Angus cattle here on the farm since 1998, with the herd now numbering over 100 including this year's 27 newborn calves. We welcome visitors to the farm but please phone or email ahead. The farm is situated on rolling land east of the Hudson River, just south of the Hoosick River, in northern Rensselaer County. |
